I highlighted an important part...all those BMR calculators give you a Basal Metabolic Rate...which is
calories burned at rest.
activity multipliers are used to figure in daily activity, i.e. 'seated work', 'heavy manual labor' etc.
If you go with BMR only, you end up undereating, often by enough to stunt fat loss (the body thinks its starving)
