| | | Thanks Phate89. Thats all I was trying to do. Motivate some people to take on this challenge. I thought it would be fun. Apparently some people are too critical and negative to see the good in things first.
And Derwyddon NO for the second time I actually do not make any money from that site. And NO there are not links for my training services on that site either and never will be. So do not make things up or make accusations assuming things. What would be the point of having links for my training services on a site that people all over the world see??? Do you think that I would go and train people all over the world each day??? nope...
And yes I do plan on staying and being a great forum member for a long time to come. One who is positive and helps others.
Thanks |

| | | It would be impossible... Let me start off by saying I've managed numerous restaurants and gyms. I have never been an owner / entrepreneur myself (although I've seen the right hand man position 2 -3 times in my life) and the way thefitnessvoice is reacting to all the criticism shows lack of ability to successfully maximize the potential of his 3 businesses.
All the people who criticize thefitnessvoice to begin with were obviously very negative and unsupportive but probably became that way due to excessive exposure to "noobs" who advertise their websites. Despite their immature criticism, the way thefitnessvoice reacted reflected badly on him.
On the other end, quotes like these:
"Second I highly doubt that chillen could...Our team consists of 5 of the strongest pound for pound fighters in CA. Thats why the team was put together."
show that thefitnessvoice has very low emotional IQ and the chance that he could have started up 3 successful businesses is unlikely. Business is about providing people with a service. The chance that some customer with a personality profile like chillen comes into one of his businesses is very likely. If thefitnessvoice is unable at that point to constrain his ego and focus on the giving part of the business relationship, the "chillen" type would leave very frustrated. Thefitnessvoice would no longer be considered an allknowing, upfront, honest guru but rather someone who says "you know i hate my six pac abs" but just says stuff like that randomly to brag all the time. In light of this public image, it is impossible for thefitnessvoice to become a respected public figure, one of the essential aspects of running 3 companies.
In fact any mentality in business (and in business you deal with people) that shows slight "elitism" or "egocentrism" will fail. The other person doesn't care about your stats, your rep, or what you've done. They only care about how you make them FEEL (#1), how you affect their life, and fulfill their needs. The ego filled responses by thefitnessvoice shows he fails internally at this horribly.
It is important to note that this feeling cannot be generated just on the surface, as the person needs to see and feel you are genuine. If you are putting on an act, most people will feel it is an act.
Anyways, just my two-cents. I type this because when I was 22 I was all about driving the Range Rover, being ripped, being popular, being intelligent, and being financially successful all at once. In fact this mentality of "elitism" is a disease in America now. There is more to life than being better than people physically, financially, socially, mentally, and spiritually while being young. Life is about relationships & success. True relationships where giving to another person mutually helps expand life experience.
And if any of my advice above doesn't mean anything, because you don't know how credible I am fine. My bottom-line opinion is I felt you are high on ego. I rarely surf this forum (maybe once every 3 months). This is the opinion of someone who is not a "regular" here and just saw your post by chance. |

Just as you and Derwyddon provide advice and also get the same respect, at least from me you do. |

| | Oh come on now....let's put things in perspective.
TFV came on with a lot of enthusiasm & promise....it sorta sounded like spam (and we get a lot of that here)...but time will tell. I think his enthusiasm & confidence was misinterpretted as having some arrogance. He's trying to be a leader, it happens. Whatever. Let's see how things play-out and give him the benefit of the doubt.
Chillen rose to the occassion and blew his fitness wad by proclaiming the "I'm almost 50 and sub 8%". Newflash: Chillen already has an 8-pack, he's disqualified from the 6-pack Challenge because he's already there (and beyond it).
Nobody "worships" Chillen. He's a popular guy cause he strives to help & motivate people in his own post-excessive-drug-use way But to his credit, he's comfortable referring people to Wrangell & Derwydon for more technical info. It's all good, leave his Chillenness alone.
Gooch, you could do better.
Mabye TFV is looking for some people to make a change and then use for reference...or maybe he just feels like helping people. Time and again I've contemplated putting together a Fitness/Health center and bringing together a great team of people to offer help to the obese & unhealthy masses; there's a sense of Godliness in helping people. Nothing wrong with that.
I don't see a spam/profit motive here for TFV, I think he just came across with enthusiasm, confidence and a quick rise to show leadership....and a few of us jumped on him with well-placed skepticism.
Enough.
Hey, I'm starting to show some ab lines and would be interested in hearing about any program that could help me develop and get further. TFV, count me in. And I'm in California so maybe I'll take-on all 5 of your team at once......years of watching professional wrestling have given me the intellectual advantage & edge: I'm good with the chiar, table, referee distraction and misdirection. Hook a fatty up!
Seriously; I'm in! |
