    Angry I'm complaining already...

If this site is all about getting fit and healthy the right way instead of fad diets or unrealistic exercises, which it seems to be, why do I constantly see banner ads that are obviously in contrary to this? A perfect example is the one is I can see as I write this that claims "Six packs in less than 4 weeks. You too can get that ripped six abs body in 4 weeks."

Does anyone on here who knows what they're talking about agree that this is possible? Especially if done in a safe way?

Hope I don't get a PM warning from mr moderator about this because aside from this I like this site

I agree it is weird seeing some of the fad diets and pills post adds, but the I assume the site has to pay for itself somehow, and advertising is a pretty easy way of doing it.

I just ignore them...just like on facebook. I know the lady with the enourmous breasts really isn't "searching" for me.

If you are speaking to the general public, the Ad is simply misleading, and I would agree with you. Changing one's physique is HARD. Likewise, getting to the leanness necessary to reveal the core frontal area, is also hard.

A lot of people want it, but few achieve it, because it is hard. Hard doesn't sell. Quick and easy does.

Ad likes these appeal to the masses because it hits the very nerve of fitness-seeking consumer (and they know it), wanting a quick fix to their physique goals--without regard to their personal starting point being considered in most cases. It sells because the consumer-target are the ones "not in the know". In addition, some don't have the genetic composition to come close to looking like that, only to get frustrated spending the money on fruitless goal quest. And, in some cases, adding steem to their self-esteem isues. It is more money focused........then having the person at focus.

I think they are kinda sexy.....lol

    ok, seriously.....

Google will pick up on the tags for the site....It's inevitable that you are going to see these sort of ads. Are they ridiculous ....yes. But anyone who is really looking to be fit will *read* the forum, and not just click on the ad.

If they are taken in by the ads so easily, it only seems reasonable to assume, they aren't ready to truly commit to changing their lifestyle to be fit and healthy. They are still looking for miracle pills......

The ad's are google ad's meant to help pay for the site.

They have no relation to this forum in terms of diet/fitness advice.

It is either the fact she wasn't searching or the fact that when you clicked on her she loaded a virus on your PC

I was on a computer forum once, with the most prude admin in the world and the ONLY sponser they had for the forum was one of those "Hook up with married women" sites. /shrug

Fortunately, I don't have to. They are one and the same.
