Lost 3" In Six Weeks But Knowone Has Noticed!!

I'm not to peeved but Ive gone from 40" to 37" in six weeks, but knowone has noticed. I bought a t-shirt which didn't fit me but now fits and a pair of 3/4 length trousers which now fit a treat which didn't fit before but knowone as noticed.

Has anyone been pleased when people have noticed they have lost weight. I do need to buy a wholse set of smaller clothes, may that will help. I just think that if people notice it will encourage me in the future.

I hear it from time to time. People who haven't seen me in a while say something.

Overall, just keep at it. I'm sure they noticed. Congrats on a job well done!

It is a bit frustrating when you feel like you've worked your a*s off to lose some weight, and no one seems to say anything or notice.

Give it some time, as you start to lose more - more and more people will start saying things (which always feels great).

You'll be a lot happier in fitness (and life) when your happiness doesn't hinge on others' approval.

First, congratulations on your progress. Most people here understand the effort both mentally and physically that is required to lose weight.

There is a person that noticed you lost weight. Its the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON:

YOU!

The brightest and most intense light is the person that flips the internal switch and turns their self on and the light that reflects always finds a place.

(Chillen)

Do NOT be concerned whether others notice. Be concerned on whether you notice the progress you are making. Above all other observations, this is the most important; If this light were to dim there is no light reflection and no place to find.

When I first started my quest on my weight loss (5'7": 190 to 154), I was grossly overweight. I was told time and time again by family I was too old to seek my goal I wanted. But my light burned at both ends, and I ate these crap statements for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then Sh@t them out at the end of the day. If your internal light is strong, everything will and can reflect off you and have little negative effect--and be turned into a positive effect.

After I met my goal, I was being told I was too skinny. Until I pulled off my shirt and displayed a body of a person half my age. They all shut up.

YOU KEEP THE INTERNAL LIGHT STRONG!

YOU KEEP ROCKEN ON!..........Push forward.........Keep that switch on!

Best wishes,

Chillen

I've pretty easy so far, just cut out the crap, about 20 minutes and about 20 minutes jogging each day.

My plan is - September no chocolate, October no chocolate/peanuts, November step up the exercise. December - survive till next year lol

Im struggling to find a godd set of weights. The current ones I have are 20lbs each but dont do much for me.

I also need to buy small clothes but I dont want to tempt fate.

You're still not eating that bacon, sausages, high trans fat "health" bars, and high sugar cereal, are you?

Make your own journal:

You could name it something like: Steddie and Ready....or what ever you like.

You would get a steady does of encouragement (I will be your greatest fan!), log your training, diet, and ask questions. Alot of eyes see these journals.

And, most importantly, you will get a steady relationship among people that share common interests and this will encourage you!................

What is your diet like, and what is your training like.

If you wish you can answer these questions in your journal..........

DO IT!...........ROCK ON WITH IT............

Be with friends......that share your feelings......and know what its about to train.............ROCK ON!

Very good point. I think sometimes people aren't sure if they are supposed to say something or not.

Oh, and Dallen, what "health" bars have trans fat in them? I know most of them are just glorified candy bars and whatnot, but I don't recall seeing trans fat in them. dang that sucks.

I'm not talking about bars like protein bars or other good stuff, even though you have to watch thoses too.

I'm talking about those "health" bars you find in the grocery. Such as the low-calories snack bars.

For example, Kelloggs so-call healthy breakfast snacks contain Partially Hydrogenated Soybean. Or Nebisco's 100 calories packs contain Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil. And many other thing. On top of that, they're loaded with saturated fat, and other junk in the ingredients that you don't want. And guess what the package says? 0 grams trans fat… which by law they can put on there (since it’s probably less than .5g of trans fat) even though the ingredients says otherwise.

i totally know what you mean! in fact, i had to lose 15 lbs before my boyfriend even said anything and all he said was that my ass seemed more toned! haha...at the same time, he's always wondering why i can't see his weight loss or that he's getting more muscular...so, it's normal.

also, i totally agree with theGOOCH. those people might not want to say anything because they are afraid that it's a sensitive issue for you. i've had a lot of people tell me that they've noticed that i lost weight but they were nervous to say something just in case i might be ultra sensitive about it. (like...my bf's mother! lol)

hell...i don't even know how to react to my friends when they get new haircuts because sometimes even that is really sensitive!

but yeah, as long as you see the difference and feel great, then that's all that matters. keep your head up!
