| | | just keep working to get your diet under the necessary amount needed to keep your body going. Once you run out of fat in your belly and abs, and you keep cutting weight, it has to burn the fat in your thighs and glutes. |

| | | YOu're doing too many reps, and thus not enough weight.
Increase the weight, drop the reps to 8-12 per set. Lift HEAVY.
skip leg lifts. Squats, deadlifts, lunges...these are you friends. I doubt you have fat legs as a male. Likely you have muscular legs that need to be worked harder so they take shape. Men store fat in their abdomen..women store fat in their butt/legs (generally). |

| | | hmm, ok.... so, around 12 reps, on how much series? 2-5?
and, what do u mean by "increase weight"?
cycling will also do the thing, right? |

| | | Typically 3-4 sets, 8-12 reps as Malkore said.
Increase the weight, simply means increase the weight lol.
Lift heavier, ideally you should be reaching the point of near failure on the last rep.
What exactly is you FULL routine? Are you looking to drop fat, or simply gain muscle? |

| | | If you're looking at getting some smaller legs and so on, I would really look into some distance running and reduce doing squats and lunges.
I'm not sure why people are saying to increase weight and decrease reps? If you're wanting to decrease the size of you're legs.... |

Lift weights, run a calorie defecit, and do cardio. |

If he's upper body is in reasonable shape, I am guessing his legs are naturally bulky or larger, so lifting heavy is not going to help in decreasing what's there. |

| | | In a calorie deficit though, it's unlikely his legs will get any bigger. It will just help retain muscle and burn fat. |

| | | Yeah I understand. I guess I just understood it, that his legs were too big in terms of muscle... as some people seem to have stocky legs. |

| | | Your other option is to increase weight even more, and reduce reps to only 5-6 per set. This builds strength, but not much muscle mass.
And as stated, distance running will be better than cycling to 'shrink' the legs.
Honestly you're probably beter off trying to bulk up your upper body, since right now you're too big in the lower body (again I doubt its mostly fat, likely mostly muscle) |

| | i have this machine at home, called orbitrek
-can't post links, so just google it :P
can that do the trick instead of distance running?
i worked out on it like, 20 mins, then lil rest then 10....
so, at the end, should i decrease reps?
it's kinda more logical to me, to burn fat, to do more reps...but i'm no expert | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
