| | | Naked juice, Protein Zone Hey everyone, first time poster here  and I'm looking for some advice. I have been having a hard time losing weight (6'2", 290lbs, 25 y/o Male). I do swimming, thats just my thing, and it is the only exercise i seem to be able to stick with (bad for weight loss, but better than nothing). I swim 1 kilometer, 3 times a week and I have not moved a pound away from where I started over a year ago. I realized that I started eating more when swimming, so I started adding extra protein to my diet to try to bulk up (since losing wasn't working). Now I'm taking about 5 servings of Naked juice, Protein Zone a day as meal replacements, but only consuming maybe 1200 - 1800 calories a day from normal food (down from about 3000). I have still noticed no change in weight, but I do feel as though my muscle mass has increased (which is a good sign), waist size has not decreased though. Is this stuff putting me on the fast track to failure? I know there's lots of sugar, but its all from fruit if that matters. Thanks for reading! |

If at all possible, then I'd suggest you try and get involved in some other types of cardio, and from there, try to get on a small weight lifting program.
I know that it's going to be difficult because you're so set in your ways, but if you can add a little more variety to your program, then I'm sure you'll be able to see much better results.
As for the Naked Juice, I'm not really sure that it's a great thing to take any diet drink 5 times a day. Seems to me that it's nothing more than sugar and protein. While the protein is good, the 140+ grams of sugar that you consume are not.
Perhaps you should consult a nutritionist so that he/she can set you up with a healthy dieting plan. Couple that with a good fitness plan, and you should be well on your way!
