| | | Need advice and some help... Hey everyone,
I'm new here but from what I've read in some of the other threads, I really think you guys will be able to help me out. I'm about 5'11 and i weigh roughly 235 lbs. That isn't good at all obviously and I have finally had enough and I want to get myself in shape and start enjoying being a teenager and having "the best years of my life."
I play basketball almost everyday and its usually for about 45mins-90mins. I don't think I eat too bad and I usually try and count in my head and stay under 2,000 calories for the day. I drink a lot of water and tea and try to limit the pop and other bad drinks. That being said, I haven't really seen an improvement so I plan on working my ass off for the nest 3 months or so to really get myself into shape.
Ideally, I'd like to be down to about 185-195 lbs and do this by the beginning of September. It sounds like a lot of work but I'm up for it and ANY IDEAS, INFORMATION,TIPS, OR HELP would be GREATLY appreciated.
I have a treadmill, a stationary bike, and my parents just got the AB CIRCLE PRO. So if anyone could help me set up a schedule or anything to help get me on track would be great. I'm going to try to eat even less, drink more water, and i was thinking about buying whey protein and seeing if that helps me at all with weight loss.
Again, ANY HELP WOULD BE A GREAT HELP. anything you have to say would be helpful and if there's something else I could do i didn't mention, PLEASE tell me.
Thanks guys. |

| | | Well, I've been having a lot of white bread which I realized isn't good. I have it for sandwichs, PB&J, toast a lot of times. I also get fast food quite often but that's because my schedule has been hectic lately so I'm planning on cutting that out also.
I don't know what foods I should be eating, and I have a clue on what foods not to eat. like white bread, fast food, candy and sweets, etc. but i need help on what foods I should be eating.
good point with what foods i eat though. after i read your post, i really thought about it and now i have an idea of some things i can cut out which should at least help a little. |

| | Yeah all of those things that you mentioned will pretty much do it.
Take a look at LV's grocery list http://training.fitness.com/nutritio...ist-19098.html
Start by eating 6 meals a day. (3 traditional meals and snacks in between every 2-3 hours).
At each meal try to eat a carb, protein and good fat. For example: breakfast- eggs (mostly whites), whole wheat toast, fruit, skim milk.
Prepare your meals in advance so you can take them with you and not depend on fast food.
Now let's see you come up with a meal plan. |

Whey protein is a good substitute to replace whole-food proteins for weight loss. Especially good in situations when whole foods are not available. Best time I think is in the morning (not to replace a good well balanced breakfast) and immediately after a workout. |

| | | 1000-1500 calories a day for your size seems quite low.
I mean you may lose a lot of muscle from eating so low calories. Is your main goal just to lose bodyfat? Do you weight train? |
