Question pilates vs yoga

I'm trying to decide if i want to try pilates or yoga to increase core strength and flexibility. which would you all recommend and why?

They wont do anything for core strength, But for flexability, just go with what you enjoy the most as they will both help.

Yeah yoga and pilates do not do much of anything for strength increase. Now balance and flexibility and some more efficient muscle movement it can be helpful.

If you are feeling like more of a relaxing stretch and meditative state then go with yoga. Though really they are both quite similar.
