Exclamation Protein Intake and Losing Weight

Hello... Im 15... Today I weighed myself, and I am currently weighing 149(with shoes and clothing... so maybe its less)... I have lost over 10 pounds in less than a month... But Im having problems trying to get my right amount of proteins while watching what I eat, and trying not to bring in many fats and calories... Any suggestions for my problem? I still would like to lose more weight and get in shape, but I also need to take enough proteins into my body for my muscles... any advice? Thanks in advance

well....i dont take them, but, protein shakes sure seems like an easy way to get a quick protein fix. chicken breasts, tuna, low fat cottage cheese, skim milk..all good sources of protein. really i dont like low fat and skim, i go with 4% milkfat cottage cheese for taste, and 2% milk. dam skim milk is like white water.

You gotta go with protein powders bro. Stay away from meal replacements that give you a lot of carbs though. The straight protein powders give you just the protein with a small bit of carbs (usually some sugar to keep the powder from tasting like crap).

I agree, if you're lacking protein, the easiest fix is to add a protein shake 'snack' a couple times a day. You'll average 20-30g of protein with the typical shake, and usually 5g of carbs or fewer.
EAS is a reputable brand. you could also check out www.trueprotein.com - look at their Products and Pre-mix blends. they have a 'lean gainer' that's good protein, low carb, and less than $8 a pound.

But are they safe for me? Because I am 15... and some of these products arent tested on young people, and it is unknown what effects they might have on me...

protein powder is just food in powdered form.
Things you'd have to watch out for are pro-steroids, fat burners, creatine, ....stuff like that.
