Question about weighing myself

Ok Im confused about how to weight my self I usualy do it in the morning around 9 pm since i havent ate or drank anything at that time so i know i have not much water or food in me I do this once a week, And i wear shorts and thats about it I am at 171 at the moment but then when i weight myself with clothes on i weight more So wich one is my official weight. I use a weight scale like the one from a doctors office not the small ones that you can buy at wall marts or anything like that.

Weigh yourself every 2 weeks, first thing in the morning, naked, after using the bathroom.

First, why does your actual weight matter? Worry about body fat level, not weight. If you must weight yourself as a progress indicator, then just be sure to weigh yourself at the same time every day, wearing the same clothes. Your "official" weight is your weight in your birthday suit, just you and nothing else.

Remember, your weight can vary as much as 10 pounds over the course of a day. Usually for me my lowest weight is first thing in the morning after fasting all night followed by my morning constitutional. After eating and drinking all day I can be up 6-10 pounds by the end of the day.
