Stomach fat loss

What is the most efficient stomach weight loss ? Im about 5'11 - 6'0", I weight 180-185lbs, I just bought a bowflex and work out daily for about 45-50 minutes, 1 day off, I definatly see results in my chest, arms, back & shoulders ... but I want to shed off some 3-4 pounds off my stomach and get nice abs, what do you guys recommend ?? I want fast and efficient way, I dont eat any sweets anymore, I eat healthy, drink alot of protein shakes and alot of milk.

Try reading the other posts. This has been posted in a dozen different forms in response to the abs/fat loss question:

The best waqy to loose fat and therfore inches is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)! The other beauty of HIIT is it allows you to get the maximum fat burning benefit in 20 minutes 3 times a week.

Start with 100 yard sprints followed by a 1/4 mile slow jog or walk, repeated 6-8 times. Then add dificulty by sprinting up hill, or stairs. Add variety by replacing sprints with all out 30 seconds sessions of swimming, rope jumping, bear crawls, etc., anything that requires extreme effort!

i'd suggest 5-6 meals a day every 3 hours. leans complete protein sources, complex carbs and good fats. this is a good food list here:

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/stella9.htm

something like oats and eggs for breakfast

meat (chicken, lean red meat, fish or turkey) with good carbs (sweet potatoes or yams, brown rice, veggies, beans) for lunch and dinner

in between meal snacks like pop top tuna or chicken, fruit, nuts, sandwiches

before bed cottage cheese and natural peanut butter

these are just rough ideas

Cottage cheese and pb? Are you drunk?
Eggs with cheese = no no
Protein, some comp. carbs, but don't single yourself out and stay above 1600 cal a day......and run too!

say what???

your last meal before bed should be something that will sustain you as long as possible during sleep. because after all we wont be taking in any calories during this time.

casein forms a gel in the stomach and gets absorb slowly. and fats take a long time to digest so you get the best of both.

now some ppl eat them together. me, i eat my cottage cheese with splenda and cinammon and then go to the fridge and eat a serving of pb right off the spoon

I have had great success with adding cottage cheese about 30min-1hr before bed. I have never tried PB before bed.

EGGS, Tuna, EGGS, chicken, EGGS...

I am a fan of eggs because they are so easy to make and cheap!! I usually make omeletes with 1 whole egg and 3 whites. I eat hardboiled eggs for breakfast and snacks. I'd guess I go through about 2 dozen eggs a week. This may bee too many eggs but I admit I can be lazy with my diet from time to time.

I would also include a protein shake or a MRP for snacks if time is a factor for you.

I have already mentioned in other posts that I am a huge supporter of HIIT. It works, just give it a chance and be consistant with your training. Stomach is a tough place to cut all the fat.

DM

2 dozen whole eggs a week!? Or some of that is egg whites....
Is that many eggs really good for you, regardless of activity level? I'm actually asking, I don't really know...but since you eat so many, I figure you may have read up on it...my concern is with the cholesterol...

What are your thoughts?

Yeah, sorry for the confusion...and example of my egg intake for a week is:

15 Hardboiled egg whites during the week. (3 per morning)
omelets = 1 whole egg, 3 whites
Scrambled = 1 whole egg, 4-5 whites.

I hate yolks but understand they do have some added benefit so I may throw one down with the HB eggs from time to time.

Hope that clears up any confusion

Eating eggs does NOT raise your serum cholesteral level! Dietary cholesteral (cholesteral that is part of foods you eat) does not have any direct effect on serum cholesteral (the cholesteral in your blood)! Any cholesteral you eat is digested and absorbed as it's subcomponents. It does not directly become serum cholesteral. Serum cholesteral is manufactured by your body from nutrient ingredients that come from other sources. Serum cholesteral is most affected by the amount of certain fats and fiber in your diet. The bad fat is saturated fat (mostly from red meat) and trans fats (transfatty acids, they are artifically made and found in oleo margarine and most other processed foods sold in the US, they have been virtually eliminated from the food supply in Europe, due to government regulations and consumer pressure).
