ok ok so ive said this before, I've hit a plateua and can't seem to get past it. I plateau at 160 lbs all the time. All thats left is this dam lower pouch of fat. My theory is there are too many fat cells in that pouch that have shrunk to their smallest size but as we all know fat cells do not go away, just shrink and expand correct? Sorry but its been a month since the last time i've complained about plateauing and im still stuck. please help , anyone

i train and overtrain, cardio, lift weights, and kickbox so my lean mass is sticking around, but the lower pouch wont go away.
im at 7% body fat, i really kicked up the excersize and diet this month still no results, do i go harder? i even reached levels of fatigue some days i just didnt wana get outa bed
i zig zag calories. mostly protein diet, and some days 40-100 carbs zig zagging, should i cut out carbs completely?

the pouch wont go away, who has felt the pain of the lower pouch and how did you overcome it ? At the risk of sounding pathetic, its just im losing hope, please help. The problem is its like walking in a dark tunnel without seeing the light on the other side this time. I dont know if my skin will shrink back, it hangs too much when i bend over or sit down. its so discouraging man

PLease help , ps: does any1 have any before and after pics of skin shrinking naturally around the belly? i just need a piece of hope to hang on to im still 20 so im young but thats not enough hope.

I'm just guessing......but if you're at 7% body-fat and things still are flabby or don't look right, chances are you need to consult with a doctor or some kind of expert who can really figure-out what is going on. Perhaps it's loose skin? Perhaps it's some strange scar-tissue left from formerly being very heavy? I don't know any details about you....age, gender, former history of possible obesity, etc....but even if I did, again, at 7% and doing the exercise and diet you're doing, your at the very tail-end of progress and you likely need some hands-on/in-person experience from someone who really has a degree & understanding in the field.

Perhaps the thing is, not everyone is destine & capable of dieting & exercising down into a chiseled piece of absolute perfection. Given the extremes you're going to, perhaps you should focus on what you have done, what positive things you do like and just accept what you've got. Even super-models have several issues with things on their body they hate.....

But I feel your frustration...the body fights to maintain what it wants and sometimes progress comes ever so gradually in what seems like an overwhelming headwind. In the last 6 weeks I've lost .05% body-fat and yet the scale hasn't budged...so the conclusion is 1-pound gained muscle, 1-pound lost fat. Hard to believe I could exercise so much and eat as little as I do and that's all I got. You're not alone!

I'm sorry but I don't think you're at 7% body fat. What instrument did you use to measure this? I'm pretty sure that if you were at 7% you wouldn't have a pooch. I'm not saying your exercise or diet is wrong, I just think your bf% is a little off. Good luck with the pooch-loss.

well here is the deal,
im 6' , male, age 20, weighing in at 163 lbs. scale says 7% bfat
i used one of those electric fat measuring things at my gym where u hold it out infront of u after entering your stats.

anyway the fat loss is not the problem man, the problem is the pooch is mainly made of skin, i do have a flat stomach its just i have to lift the skin at the bottom for it to look flat. However the skin does have a little bit of fat attached to it.

in order for the skin to tighten according to many people, you must completely rid the skin of any attached fat. is this true? has anyone tested this theory? i do have stretch marks but its not very saggy, just enough to discomfort me

therefore i must reach 4-5% body fat for the skin to tighten around my lower belly. trust me im not writing this to whine about lack of progress, perhaps i just need someone to inspire me, or show me they have been at my place and overcome it for me to push on without hesitation

thanks for the replies however i respect your opinions

did you use to be overweight and thats why your having trouble now. The only reason I ask is cuz im kind of going threw the same thing right now except my bf% is still 11% and im only having trouble with that area but i used to be 100lbs overweight. Yes I have heard that if you are young and you get all of the excess fat away from your skin that your skin can go somewhat back to normal. I have a question for you regarding this topic how low are your calories right now to be at that 7% bf, cuz im trying to lose body fat right now but my workouts are strarting to suffer because im not intaking enough calories but im still intaking 2800cals aday and cant imagine with my current workout routine having any less

I think we more information is need, sir. Such as how much weight did you lose and inches off the belly? What is your typical day / week workout regime and also as close as possible, your diet? In other word: progression, workout layout, and diet plan?

Btw, the electronic scale is an awful way to measure BF.

I think it's a bit more accurate then the Body-Fat% Magic 8-ball they had a few years ago.
