| | | Toning difficult areas I'm really trying to get myself into shape for my wedding in July. I am eating well and regularly exercising and have noticed the pounds are beginning to drop off. I'm not overweight but I do want to be more slender and although what I am doing is working, I have some problem areas that I don't think I'll tone unless I do specific exercises. These areas are the tops of my thighs and the tops of my inner arms. Any help and tips would be greatly apprieciated! |

| | | It would all be much easier if we could do certain things to lose fat in certain areas, but we can't, it's not possible.
Technically, you can focus on muscle growth in certain areas. However, to get a good overall in-shape look, it's better to focus on your body as a whole, and the individual parts will fall into place.
So, while it's frustrating to see fat deposits hanging around in places we wish they wouldn't, in the end all we can do is eat right and have a good well rounded exercise plan that addresses the entire body. |

| | | I'm not sure what you exercises you are currently doing for your legs. However, if you are not already doing lunges(reverse, walking...) squats, leg exten. and leg curls. The legs are a large muscle group so don't be afraid to go heavy with the wieghts(2-3 sets, 10 reps). Don't worry you will not baulk up... |

| | | just chiming in to agree with deschain, that besides surgery, there is NO way to spot reduce fat. your body chooses where to lose fat, although its a fairly even loss from the whole body in general.
men lose it last in the stomach, women in the hips/thighs.
diet, not exercises, drive body fat loss. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
