Ways to speed up metabolism for weight loss

Besides eating 6 - 7 small meals a day, are there any?

I've heard alot of things; true or false.
1. B Vitamins
2. Random exersize through out the day (e.g. running in place for 3 mins every hour from lunch to bed)
3. Hot suace?...
4. Eating negative calorie foods often through out the day.

hey why not try them all .. .what do u have to loose? I'm doubting hot sauce though!! Drink lots and lots and lots of water .. i know that helps

1: true / is responsible for the metabolism of fats, protein and carbohydrates, there is alot more to this
2: true / any exercise will help burn calories and help
3: true / works as a mild thermogenic
4: true / hard to explain, your body thinks it has food on the incoming.
a negative food is somthing that takes more calories to utilize than you will get out of it.

a multi-vitamin will be better than just vitamin B. regular cardio workouts are much better than random exercise.

something i preach on here always is to base each meal off protein first. one of the reasons is that protein has more of a thermogenic effect on the metabolism than carbs or fats.

Are negative calorie foods negative always negative?
Like an apple is a negative calorie food. Theoretically if you ate nothing but apples for one day as soon as you fully digest all those apples you would have a calorie deficit?

(No, I'm not planning on eating nothing but apples.)

EDIT: And should these food be counted when couting calories?

yes a negative food is always a negative.
If you eat nothing but apples all day you would have an extreme calories deficit, so lets say the apples gave you 400 calories, and it took your body 600 calories to digest/utilize it then you have your bodys regular maintenance say 2000c so then your body will have to canibolize 2200 calories from your body.
you should eat thies foods in moderation as this subject is a little more complex than just the calorie aspect, in the same sence I would continue to count them in your diet.
o just so you know if you did eat nothing but negative foods it would have a tremendiously negative effect on your body, in a short amount of time. what exactly you would be hospitalized from first would depend on the person.
