1st Post! Working out everyother day?

Hey, so for the past 6 months I would usually work out everyday and on those days i do 10 min run on tridmill as a warmup then i begin my weight training. Now i am thinking about doing this every other day because ive heard weight lifting everyday would lessen the results, is that really true? Well my main question is if a Moderate upper body workout and a low end lower body workout is a good routine for 4-5 days a week (every other day). Thanks !

I think 4 days a week is sufficient unless your an advanced lifter. My guess is most people don't eat enough to accommodate a 5+ day workout routine. Try two upper body workouts, and two lower body workouts a week... or two push, and two pull days a week.

Psst.. buy "New Rules of Lifting" buy Lou Schuler...

Rather than 'moderate' upper body and 'low end' lower body 6 days a week, how about a solid upper body workout and high end lower body workout 4 days a week? Or even an intense full body workout 3 days a week.

My point being that if you increase the intensity of your workouts, you won't feel the need to do them so often. Just a thought, but FF's right...check the stickies.

Ive recently started running for 10 mins as my cardio workout, then onto warming up for my strength training, and lastly the upper / lower body workout which last for about 40 mins. Would this be a good routine? DEF, im also going to try what you advised, thanks .
