And, slapping on a pair of small olympic plates would be near the same mechanic make up as the ab wheel. I may give this ago 2morrow (rest day today) and mess around with it and see how it goes. I never actually did the ab wheel exercise during the entire time I have been dieting and fitness training. I am going to do some research on the various ways to perform the exercise, and see if it will have any benefit.
ROCK ON!
Best wishes,

| | | 2 sets of 15 is nothing... not to be challenging you but I do well over a hundred on mine and it starts to kill and gets things burning like crazy... I say you have to up it. I can do 3 sets of 15 dumbbell bench with 10 lbs like cake... doesn't mean that dumbbell bench is crap. |

Why do you do 100 reps with the ab wheel?

| | | hahhaaha - that's a good question Chillen. Of course why would we do 100's of pushups in a day, for fun I guess.
to the 100 abwheel poster- you are late.
let me save you alot of time.
use your bare feet on the wheel. use your toes to hold the lil handles and do 1 set of 10- all the way out and back. If you are skilled with the wheel, I should shut up actually becaue I am not. But, 100 reps can not be good for your rotator cuffs, or shoulders.
hahahaha,, but putting the wheel in your feet is a whole new thing. Even worse is trying to keep my legs completely straight and doing it frrom a standing position. I have been playing with my new toy..... my guts ache.
my new lil, inside side bet with myself is to get a good enough handle on this core to have an ab wheel in hands, and in feet, and do it on the pavement. Video to follow. that is a fittness challenge! |
