Barbell, Dumbell and a bench

Is there any possiblility i can get a good workout with just using a Barbell, Dumbell and a bench? I don't want any fancy machines, jump ropes etc. i just want the basics of a barbell, dumbells and an old fashioned bench!

You'd probably get a better workout with a solid bodyweight routine than with a half-assed weight training regimen. And by probably I mean definitely, depending on your current condition, and your inventiveness/ability to read. You can do a whole lot with just yourself and random stationary objects. Check it out.

I'm sure Chillen will be along to post the links.

Having said that, yeah, it's probably doable. Assuming you have enough weight, and don't mind doing deadlifts. Or if you can clean a weight you can squat. Which is unlikely. I don't recommend doing dumbbell squats. They're so awkward and they piss me off. I've been laughing at them since I got under the bar.

Anyway check out the weight training stickies and see if you can't put together a decent plan.

Also, might be a good idea to share some information about your goals! I mean what exactly is a "good workout"? That's completely relative. In this case, to you. Please be very specific when describing what you're trying to achieve.
