I have just started working out. I have an illness called Ulcerative Colitis that has made me very shy of the weightroom and i have finally took the steps to get the motivation and time to get in there. I am about 5'10" and weight 140lbs. I am not fat but i feel that i have some excess skin and fat scattered about especially in my lower ab region. My workout schedule looks like this
Day1. Chest,Tricepts,abs, Run 2 miles
Day2. Bicepts, Shoulders,abs, Run 2 Miles
Day3. Back, Abs, Run 2 miles
I am concerned with my upper body as of right now, my lower boddy can work itself out with the running and such. I use a 7 minute ab video to ge the maximum ab workout necessary to get rid of the excess fat around the abs.
Is this the best way to get what i want accomplished, a toned body?
What are some things i can eat to stay healthy rather than just grabbing a Blimpies because i have no idea what else to eat. Eating tips would definitely be helpful to me.
Is there anything else i should be doing to get what i want done? Will time just take care of what i want? or should i change it up?
Also what are the proper resting periods for something with my height and weight? Is doing abs everyday not good? And is running 2 miles everyday not good?
Dont workout the same muscle group 2 days in a row, you have yourself doing ab workouts 3 days in a row. Your muscles build in the time after your workout whne there healing. They wont develop if they have no time to heal.
