Best Workout Routine for a Beginner?

So, I've recently started lifting and doing cardio, trying to lose weight and tone myself at the same time. What are some recommended workout routines that are good for losing weight and toning the body? I'd really like to lose the belly fat and gain some definition in the abs, lose the double chin, and lose the man boobs in favor for some more defined pecs. Any suggestions?

PS. I live on a campus and I have access to a state-of-the-art gym. The bad thing about living on campus is all I can have to eat is 2 meals a day and snacks.

My food consists of salads, wraps, sandwiches, fruit, basically many choices of food. If you can swing me in the right direction, let me know

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!

2 Meals a day is... Well yeah.

You really want to be looking at having 6 meals through the day, but smaller than breakfast to fill you to lunch and lunch to fill you till dinner. Even if your snacks are not cooked foods, eating 3-4 apples only has around 200 calories.

Basic to losing weight is having a calorie deficite, so your body is looking towards the fat you have for energy instead of the food. I'm sure someone will post about RMR and BMR, how many calories you burn while just resting etc. Work out how many calories you should be eating a day (probably around 2000) and aim to go under that everyday.

It's really up to you how you plan out your routine as if you've got plenty of time you can go everyday and alternate between cardio and weights, or go every other day and do both while your there.

Maybe one of the crap Gods, like Dionysus maybe, I'd be Zeus for sure

For training advice you should relly read the weight traing and nutritional stickies in the relevant sections of the site, they'll give you far more infomation than any answer you get here
