Bowflex good for woman?

Hi all, first off I'm a 24 year old Female, about 5'4" and 125 lbs (although I have been avoiding the scale for as long as I can remember) I have always had problems feeling tone and fit, at one point a couple years ago, I was down to 110 lbs but I still had a flabby butt and thighs. I think that I am at a healthy weight right now, but my bum and legs, and now my belly are very jiggly.

My fiance bought a Bowflex Sport in August, and we have both been using it since then. He looks incredable, he's gaining muscle in all the right places, and he feels great, but niether of us can seem to fing the right program for me. I have been working out 4 times a week, 2 days upper and 2 days lower. but I'm just not noticing any differance in my body, althogh my fiance says I look incredable, I still feel too "jiggly"

Sorry for the rant!, I guess what I want to know is if anyone out there can help me out with a good routine that empesises inner/outer thighs, Buns and stomach.

Thanks guys....this site seems great!, I'm so happy I found it!

It's all related to diet. You can increase your muscle mass but if you have fat covering it...it won't matter.

Think heavy weight powerlifters and Oly lifters-they're extremely strong and have tremendous amounts of muscle but because of their body fat% you just can't see it.

Thanks for that....I guess I was also hoping that someone could advise me of a good exercise routine that works well for woman. I found tons of workouts on the net for men, but they all seemed to be geared towards gaining mass, and that not what I want.

There's really no reason why you should really train any differently. You're not going to just "bulk up" it doesn't quite work that way for women without the help of AAS (but that's illegal and another topic).

I'd say work in the 6-12 rep range, prob like he is.

OK, I didn't know that. how much cardio should I include in my workout. If I work out 4 times a week, should I be doing jogging/rowing on the other days, or just incorperate it into my workout days? Thanks again for your advice!

My landlady bought it for herself, she's definitely a lady. I know she does it very often.
