bowflex weider or dumbells

i am giving my olympic weights to my boy in school i want to have somthing to work out on at 46 and use ually lifting alone i wonder what to get a bowflex or a weider that looks like a bowflex or dumbels what do you thing?

I'm partial to dumbbells myself. The machines will neglect your joints and smaller stabilizing muscles.
