| | | Breaks Between Weights..... Alright so I'm mainly working on my upper body right now, (chest, back, triceps, and abs....) was just wonderin what the "break" between weights SHOULD be...if for example I work all my upper body out on monday....tuesday everythings going to be sore....would the most efficient way to gain muscle be to repeat on wednesday?? Or is it that you should wait till the soreness goes away....please keep in mind that I'm looking for the quickest/best/ most efficient way of gaining muscle in a safe manner....thanks people! |

Meaning, working the upper and the lower the same. Focusing on the upper alone won't get you anywhere fast.
Weight training should generally be on non consecutive days. Regardless of soreness, that in fact Will go away with time. Given you are getting proper rest, water, food, and doing the motions in proper form the soreness should dissipate after the first week or two. |

| | | Every other day's cool. Unless you feel pain, in which case you should go see a doctor or a physio. Or just rest. |

| | | are you working lowerbody at all? Youre going to look really goofy if you get a huge upperbody and then have chicken legs. Working out everyother day is fine. Unless your soreness is unberable where you really cant work out just go every other day |

| | | i think you should rest at least 48hrs between working the same muscle groups. If youre serious about wanting to gain muscle fast then you should work the full body and not just isolated muscle groups. i know this is said alot but READ around the forum stickies. |

Im telling you, hypertrophy will come easier to the person working the upper and the lower body equally then to the person who just works one or the other. |

and what way is that? my main objective is not to add bulk to my legs, they're already big....my m/o is to increase upper body strength and size, while still working out the lower body, working out as in keep them active...and last time i checked, running keeps your legs active.... |

| | | "Keep them active"....are you kidding?...active means to not let something stop or remain in the same place....so I'm saying to maintain my legs moving....not let a day go by in which they don't do some sort of an activity....hey I've seen some of your threads silent, ima save us both some time...just mind your own business bro | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
