I have been lifting for a little over a year off and on mostly on. I only want to know opinions on weather I should bulk or cut. I will get advice on the other stuff like routein and eating Later...

| | I would say to cut first, due to a few benefits. Of these being that fat cells cannot be lost (they can however shrink and expand), so you want to be adding the least as possible. Also, it is very good to get strict with your diet on a cut, because once you realize the importance of it, you won't be going on a fast-food binge when you bulk up too. If your goal is to be like one of those Phil Pfister types then it wouldn't make much sense to cut, now would it? That's just a thought. If you have specific goals in terms of your bodyfat percentage, biceps measurment, chest measurment, and all of that mess, then you should bulk to a certain limit, cut and repeat. But if your only goal is to have the physique of a heavyweight powerlifter (huge arms, no six pack) then you should eat and train like one and forget about cutting (for now). Because, do keep in mind that powerlifters go through the bulk, cut phase as well. Just not as extremely as bodybuilders. It all comes down to what your goals are. Once you can determine what your goals are, you can find the answer to your question. |
