I'd say lower too. Deads really work the hams and glutes. I guess the lower back is part of the upper body, but I'd train that on lower too, since so many lower lifts involve the lower back.

UPPER UPPER UPPER! Well I guess its where you like it in alot of ways. I put it on my upper day for the basic fact that I find it alot easier to do heavy bench press after deadlifts than heavy squats.

why does it make sence muscle wise to put it on upper? Sure, it works the traps, forearms, etc, but much more the hams, glutes and lower back.

And the squat thing for you is more an individual thing.

Yes, this is correct...i misread this as saying that it works the traps more than the hammys, glutes and lower back.

I think NBS has a very good point though, I always put deads into lower days but technically you could say it's an upper exercise as the main target muscles are the spinal erectors

The fact it works upper and lower parts of your body show what damn good movement it is
