| | | don't feel incline bench press in chest When I do incline bench press I don't really feel it in my chest. I seem to feel it more in my shoulders and arms. I've had a few people watch my form and say it's fine. Any ideas? |

| | | it's quite usual. All pressing is alot of shoulders and triceps. are you retracting your shoulderblades? That makes me feel it a bit better, other than that, just keep at it and if you want a big chest maybe add some flyes or something. |

| | | I got 2 suggestions for you if you want to feel it in your chest more on inclined bench.
1. Take a slightly wider grip on the bar, and make sure you bring the bar all the way down to your collar bone before pressing it back up.
2. If you use dumbbells and an adjustable bench for your incline press, try using a little less incline. For example, try using a 30 degree incline instead of a 45. That will help too. |

| | STOP LIFTING (it WILL go away)
Or Lift Shallow so your pecs do all the work w/ wide grip as noted above.
This too will cuase that to go away. |

| | | I also feel my pressing primarily in my shoulders. As inexact as it sounds, try simply focusing on contracting your chest with each press. Soon, like anything you do over and over, it will become instinctive. |

| | | Stuckkk I just can't increase my bench for around the last 3-4 weeks lately.
I tried various things I mean I was using the dumbells on the flat bench and lets say would do the 5X5 wit the 95 pound dumbbells. Than I said alright now lemme go down to the 90's and I have been doin around 3 sets of 7-8 reps some nights more some less. But I just can't break it....i do the incline as well and the funny thing is i feel i'm increasing there and not the flat......i don't know what to do any more
Some one please are there any great or different exercises than can help me get past this problem....I wanna be able to be repping the 100's soon |
