Eating Right!

Hey. I'm 18 years old in a month. I am 6"0 180lbs. I'm not to sure what my BF% is but i have been working out for a couple of months now and i wasn't pudgy or fat to begin with if that gives you some idea, lol. Basically i'm curious about Carbohidrates and Calories and Protien and all that good stuff. I wanna start eating right and figure out what works for me. I have a bit of baby fat on my stomach and a tich on my waist (not much there) and i really want to get rid of it. Can someone please explain what carbs, cals and protiene really actually is the science of it and what not along with good eating habits and possibly some of your own eating habits? You know with fruit and vegies and the right ammount of protien but not to much and yada yada yada.

thnx =)!!!

ps - If it helps answer this question at all I work out 3 days a week for aproximetly 1 hr - 1 hr 20 min. I don't do any cardio like bycicle or running so just 2day I have now started a workout plan for running aswel.
(on a side note. If you run 7 days of the week how long should you run each day to burn a decent ammount of calories?)

thnx alot guys !!
