Question Full Body Workout - Missed a Day.

Hi Everyone. Newbee here. I have been following a clean strict diet along with 3X per week of weight training (Tue-Thu-Sat.- full body) and HIIT/Cardio for about 4 months now. I have lost about 25 pounds (down to 170 from 195+) while adding some lean mass to my upper body.

My question is. On a 3X per week full body workout schedule, if I miss a day, is it better to do a split workout the following two days or just pick up on the next full body workout two days later? (Knowing not to work the same muscles two days in a row...)

I'm hoping I don't have to do this too often, but I missed Tuesday this week and it may happen from time to time.

Any advise you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Or go to Wed-Fri-Sat this week and back to your regularly scheduled days the next week...

I thought that working the same muscle groups two days in a row (Fri-Sat) was bad due to not giving them a 48 hour rest and recovery time...?

It doesnt hurts to rest one extra day, but dont do it every other week, more like every 2 months. Your body needs to rest it, but make sure you don't overdo it with the eating that day (if your bulking).

It's ok to miss a day, but if you are left with the situation like wed, fri, saturdau being the only days you can work out, I would just do friday push and saturday pull or one day upper and one lower, just for that week.

If you are one of those people that are strict about sticking to a routine for a long time, then just don't worry about the day off

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I will pick up with my normal routine today. Was just wondering if a split workout yesterday and today would have been any better than just missing Tuesday and starting back today...
