Lightbulb Getting the most

I would like to get the most out of my diet/workouts. This is my typical day:

B- 1 whole egg 2 whites, tomato, WW bread (one slice)
S- Cottage cheese piece of fruit
L-Tuna sandwhich (Lett, tom, onion) WW bread (2 slices) raw veggies (or salmon/chicken)
S-Protein shake (EAS 19 grams of protein)
D-Chicken/Tuna/Salmon with fresh veggies
3 liters of water per day

Where in the day is the best time get my workout? Some days I do it after my second snack. Some after dinner. When I do it after dinner I *try* to drink 8 ounces of water with a scoop of whey--but not everyday.

My goal is to be/stay fit not really to lose weight. My stats currently at 5' 2" about 110 pounds-the last time I weighed myself I was at 106)

Thanks

I tend to have my workouts just before lunch (strength training) and dinner (cardio) respectively.

I have mine in the morning. I personally think that, that was you get the best possible start to the day, and it really "wakes you up", better then 10 cups of coffee could, especially on a cold day.

And I have breakfast right after.

I also read somewhere that exercising early will set your pace & metabolism for the rest of the day, so it's good because of that as well.

Thanks. I used to do morning (fasted) cardio and weights in the afternoon. But I leave the house at 6:30 a.m. there's not way I'd have enough time to workout get ready in the morning and be at work on time

I just wanted to parlay my food intake with a good workout for the best results...

For years I have used my lunch break as workout time. I join a gym near me and run to the gym for a workout. Some people are lucky enough to have a gym in their place of employment (only one company I worked for had a gym on site). Typically about 30 or 40 minutes after my morning snack, I hit the gym. Immediately after the gym, I eat.

You know that IS a possibility for me. There is a gym down the street from my work-and we have a corporate membership for it. I'd have to join (the dues are low) but I SO love my gym I've been going there for 15 years!! I've been there longer than the staff LOL.

One of my bosses does that. He'll go on his lunch break, we all make fun of him, he'll say "I'm off to lunch" and we say "Don't you mean you're off to pump some iron" (with a Swerzenegger accent) or something equally lame LOL
