Going to start on the Weights...

Hi Guys and Gals,

My target is to loose my fat and build lean muscle...i already have my diet sorted.

I am planinng to start on the weights tonight but being honest i have no idea what to do....I have looked at previous posts and looks like people already know what they should do.

The weights at the gym i am at, are all machines...i did some weights last week, but i don't know if i am doing the right exercises for me/enough of it/ the right weight...

Should i be doing Light weights with more reps and sets?
I think i will do a full body workout.

I do Cardio through soccer on Mondays and Tuesdays...and do cardio in the gym on Thursdays....

Hope you guys can shed some light...and help me shed some fat.

Cheers in Advance

All machines? Are you sure? That sounds like an odd gym, even the really wanky gyms where people don't want to break sweat still have some proper weights for show.

Have you read the 'Weight Training 101' sticky?

There is a few free weights...but not many.....

Also i don't think that the machines are that good...or i might not be using them properly....

I Don't feel as though i have done a good workout....i do 3 sets of 10 reps using as heavy weight i can lift...The machines mostly work my Biceps and Triceps, Abdominals and Quads...not much more..

There is no bar to do things like pullups/chinups....or anything to work say my pectorals...

I want to have good abs, Biceps & Triceps, and Pecs.....Possibly the machines are working all them areas....

Cheers
