I concurr, is there a reason for DB squats? Physical reason maybe, or something like that? |

And I don't have a barbell and related gear at home (yet). Believe me, if I had the gear, I'd be using the barbell.
I know there's an abundance of videos on the web, but the ones I saw looked different enough to me that I couldn't tell which form was best - that is, I'd like an educated opinion as to which one to follow. |

| | | For the Deadlift go to Tnation.com and search "Mastering the Deadlift part 2" and scroll to the bottom and you will see a video of perfect form deadlift. Haven't found a squat video yet. |

| | | Your best bet, and the fastest way to make improvement is to find people who can watch you form and critique.
There is no better way to learn. I am sure that there are people in your town who can help (or at least someone within a reasonable driving distance once a week.)
I know this does not provide immediate help. But others will be able to spot things much better than you will on your own.
I think finding good training partners and mentors are the most important step in achieving any sort of goals. A forum (or videos, or anything that is not a person) is a good place to get ideas and hear different points of view.
But you can never replace a person.
I just remembered that York Barbell is in Penn. They are bound to have a training hall of some sort.
When I was up north we did some strongman contests in PA. I think The Stable is in Scott Township. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
