| | | good vibrations. hey people, i have no idea where to put this post, but i saw this machine that claims to tone every muscle in your body using vibrations to contract your muscles, and all the user needs to do is stand on this stand and they get toned. i know they cant be using false advertising, but if this can tone your body and increase muscle mass it must be a good thing right?
well this is why im posting to see if anyone can shed some honest light about this "miricle machine". if it really does what it says on the tin then this is a lazy mans dream.........unless what on the tin is a load twadle and really all you can out these things is shacken up organs.

| | | Well, if it's true, all the health clubs will be going out of business as we speak and the obesity epidemic will be over shortly.
It's just so very hard to let go of the hope that we will someday be able to be fit and in shape with no effort, but it ain't gonna happen.
There are, however, facilities based on the same idea. They usually have some form of tables that you lay on while the machines vibrate you around. If I'm not mistaken, there have been a few small benefits found from it in some way (can't remember what), but it is most certainly not proving itself to be an effective way to be fit and in shape.

| | | Vibrations, eh? They're probably only useful if you want a foot massage or something. |

| | | i read/heard/watched some of the NCSA's big wigs endorsing the vibrating platform as a way to help stimulate muscle before a workout. a way to warm-up. |

| | | lol, this vibration thing claims to "tone your body" but im so suspoicious at the moment i dont what to think. my logic and reason keeps saying "it cant be true, you cant get toned without serious hard work!" then i hear that celebrities like madona are endorsing the thing!!!!
what is a fitness freak to think?
i dont know about you guys but the very idea the body i have worked sooooooo hard for can be achieved by standing on a platform and being jilted about for 20mins. at first i was intriged, now im just pi##ed off. |

| | | As a former disbeliever when I had an opportunity I tried it and boy, there really is something to this, felt so strongly about it I purchased 4 machines and now operate a small Vibration Training Studio. We use Vibrogyms Pro unit exclusively and have had great success for ourselves and our dedicated clients.
There is to much to say about it for this post but a great place to get unbiased real information regarding this new trend visit vibrationtraining.net Whole Body Vibration Training - Advice for Consumers
All i can say is a well built unit such as a Vibrogym Pro vibrogym.com or Hypergravity hypergravity.com for vertical vibration or a quality Pivotal unit can produce great results as well when used properly.
Most studios give free 1st sessions so if you doubt check it out and give it a fair try, but make sure your using quality equipment and the studio provides one on one training sessions which is really important to ensure poses/angles are correct.
Cheers! |

| | | I doubt it works. It's like that tummy machine back in the days where they tell people to stand there and the band tug back and forth and after a few months, you will be skinny.... SURE... RIGHT....
I do not believe in this at all. It does not make too much sense in a physiological stand point as well. Decent as a warm up tool but how does vibration make muscle grow? | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
