Help with new regime

Hey everyone.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any useful advice on a decent exercise regime.

I thought of this one and tried it out (I am using dumbells with 2lb weights on either side as I am only a beginner):
  • 100 bicep curls (start to feel the burn around the 25th-30th rep, and it gradually gets harder)
  • 50 squats (Feel the burn at around the 25th rep)
  • 100 bicep curls
  • 50 lateral raises (I stop at the 25th rep for a few seconds then carry on, as this exercise really starts to hurt at that time)
  • 50 squats

I was thinking of doing this every other day. While on the days in between I do this cardio workout:
  • 500 calories burnt in one hour at about 90 rpm.

I have been doing the cardio workout for quite a while now (since Summer of last year, with a 2 week break from exercise during Christmas, and a month long break in January). I have decided to work in some weight training because I noticed how thin my arms are and how flabby my chest is.

If anyone can suggest improvements or tell me if I am actually going to make any progress with this I would be very grateful.

My vital statistics.

Age: 18
Weight: 74kg
Height: 175cm
BMI: 22%
