I never get sore...why??

I never get sore after lifting wieghts. i used to life them a lot, then get sore the next day or so. then i got lazy for a few months and stopped lifting. now im starting up again but i dont get sore afterwards. am i doing something wrong? im drinking protien shakes afterward(something i didnt used to do), so maybe that's a contribution? i was just wondering if not getting sore meant that you're not getting results. or if anybody knows if im doing anything wrong. An example of one of my wieght workouts: Start with 12lbs and do 15 reps of bicep curls, immediatly after (pyramiding) i do it with 8, then with 5. Then i take about a 20 second break in between and start again. i usually only end up doing 3 or 4 sets. is that my problem? am i not doing enough?

What does your full weight training workout look like, and how long have you been doing it?

Not that I'm a professional or anything but that initial soreness I think stems from working the body in a way it's not accustomed to working. As you work it that way, the body adapts to it and the soreness disappears.

I've had the same problem (not getting sore) using weightlifting machines, but when I use free weights--I get sore, no problem. I would push myself pretty hard in the gym and my muscles would get really sore while I was doing it, but I would NEVER get sore afterwords. I can't figure out why either.
