Just a couple of questions

I don't know how obvious these questions are but I was just wondering if someone could help me.

Firstly I've always had decent abs, now I'm bulking does this mean I'll lose them? It seems like it should but it'd be a pain losing the part of me thats always been good.I know I'll be able to lose them after cutting but does bulking mean gaining a lot of body fat and then losing it?

Secondly I don't think I'm eating enough to bulk. WHat happens if you work out fine but aren't eating enough?
At the moment I do bent over rows, military lifts, bench presses, curls, squats.

Thanks

1. Maybe, but so what? You can cut after. If you are eating over maintenance then you will put on fat.

2. Nothing, you will soo no results. No Deadlifts? Pull ups, dips? lunges? Where is the single leg work?

Deadlifts:Whenever I do them I always get the feeling I'm doing them wrong.Thought I'd work on others for the moment until I get strong enough to do them properly
Pull ups: No bar.cant afford one at the moment.
Dips:Same thing, dont have anything tall/sturdy enough for me to lift myself off
Lunge:I thought squats worked the quads better?
No idea how to do single leg work.

Cutting yeah, but was just asking if bulking meant getting bulked all over.Seems logical but I'm very new to this so wanted to clarify.

SO working out without bulking does absoluetely nothing?Damn.

If you have a weight bench with a squat rack of atleast 5-6feet hight you can use that

just remember to take all of the weights off the bar before you try doing a pull up just to make sure you do not exceed the weight limit on it

Tip keep your back straight and hold your knees up in the air this will work your abs somewhat during the pull up (plus your going to have to anyway to not touch the floor)
Also the wider your hands are apart the more intense the workout will be
and you will work slightly different muscle groups

working out without bulking has to give you something. You don't get sore the next few days for nothing. I am not bulking but my bench is increasing. Maybe not as fast as others.

I dont have a bench sadly.I use a cheap pine bench from IKEA as it's the only thing in the house that can allow me to lie down but still have my arms over the side. How much would a pullup bar cost and where do you normaly put them? There seems to be a lot of people here saying theyre excellent for bicep workouts.

Would working out without bulking increase muscle mass at all?I live in a big family with my end of school exams in 2 weeks so it's really hard to get my hands on the stove at the moment. It seems to be me like it would increase strength at least, though keep in mind I know very little about this stuff.
Thanks.

Update: I think I've gained some muscle mass but this could just be a placebo effect thingy. Is it possible to gain muscle just working out but not eating lots?

Check Wal-Mart for pull up bars that you can put in a doorway, I'm sure they are really inexpensive and I use one all the time. You should either be aiming to cut or bulk really, it is a lot easier to reach your goals and eventually where you want to be when you have a mindset going. My suggestion is to cut to where your definition is where you want it to be and then bulk from there.

If you do get one of those Pull up bars that fit in the door make sure your door sides are wide and flat enough to fit the round ends of the bar and that your pretty sure the frame of the door is strong enough to support the weight
"i wouldnt trust most mobile home/trailer door frames"

I live in sunny old Belgium, sadly we've no Kmarts. But I'm moving at the end of the year so a door frame bar might be a bit dodgy,is there anything I can do in the meantime?

My problem is that while I'm skinny I have a few pockets of fat like at the bottom of my stomach meaning I've a good top 2 pecs,ok middles and nothing at the bottom.Should I attempt to get rid of the fat there before bulking as other than that I've almost no body fat at all, I'm pretty pleased as some muscles are poking through my arms and chest now so something must've been happening.
Thanks
