I'm not very good with routines so i can't really give advice there, but as for fast food, it's just really unhealthy. Remember lifting weights isn't all about looking good, it's about feeling good and being healthy ont he inside too. Fast food is jsut to greasy and fatty, and it's all bad fats. If you really want fat eat good fats like nuts. Playing basketball a few times for about 20 mins is fine, but don't do it too often or it will eat into your gains.

1. legs and back the same day? sounds like a hellaciously long workout. I spend an hour on legs alone sometimes, and there's so many muscles in the back...I'd split those two up if it was me.

2. why wait? Nothing says you ahve to train abs on those days anyhow. You could do abs on Tuesday and saturday.

3. Fast food = processed food. Processed food = not very healthy. Many nutrients get stripped out (including fiber). it's loaded with extra fat (because they buy cheap meat, not lean meat), much of which is saturated. a fast food meal is a cheat meal. You'll consume a lot of extra fat calories and simple carb calories eating fast food. You'll gain a lot of fat, and less muscle since your protein source has been stripped of many amino acids.

4. 20 mins of b-ball isn't bad. I wouldn't go running for 5 miles 3-times a week, as that will hinder your bulking phase, but short, moderate cardio won't be a big deal at all.

Note that Wendy's is one of the healthier fast food choices out there. You should still avoid it though. Because of all the saturated fats in it, when you do want to cut, it's going to be made pretty difficult since saturated fats are difficult to breakdown. Try for unsaturated fats like those found in nuts, fish, and poultry

Why would basketball be a problem for bulking up? As I understand, the only problem would be if he is burning up all the energy playing, and then his body gets more energy by depleting muscles.
