| | | Looking to switch routine, need advice Hey guys,
I've been doing a 3-day split (Back/Bi's, Chest/Tri's, Shoulders/Legs) for about a month now, and I'm looking to switch up my routine to avoid hitting a plateau.
What do you guys recommend I do? |

Don't switch until you've hit a plateau, not just when you are anticipating hitting a plateau. |

depending on how long you've been training in the first place, determines how often to change, and to what.
usually you start off with fullbody, then split into upper/lower, then a push/pull or push/pull/legs, and the final step when you've been training a year or two is single muscle group a day (arm day, chest day, back day, shoulder day, quad day, hamstring day....repeat).
even then, if your goal isn't bodybuilding, you shouldn't go beyond a 3 day split. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
