| | | Muscle Milk or CytoGainer It was suggested to me in a previous thread that for a Post Workout Shake, I should stop using Muscle Milk becuase of the fat content and use Cytogainer instead.
I am trying to lose weight. I thought the rule of thumb 3500 calories burned off = 1lb of weight loss.
Cytogainer is very high calorie so how would me taking a high calorie supplement be beneficial to me for weight loss?
Also, would either one be sufficient enough as a meal replacement shake?

| | | it is my opinion that you should never skip a meal. Protein shakes are a "supplement" and not a replacement for real food. Also protein shakes digest rather quickly. If losing weight is your goal, I suggest slower digesting foods to keep your metabolism at higher levels through out the day. |

i'd say they are more like meal replacements :P & also supplements.
yes. eating lots of foods that digest slowly would be great for weight loss and it helps your metabolism & skipping meals is a no no!
&
y not take both , i've seen people take cytogainer + musclemilk
@ moment, I take muscle milk sometimes during my workouts, and after, and I take it right before i go to bed :] |

| | | Just eat solid matter food. The thermic effect will help especially when piled on to the body's expenditure to breakdown solid food. |

even though it says the saturated fat is in the form if medium chain triglycerides, I still wouldn't buy it because it is a saturated fat...if it were polyunsaturated or monounsaturated then it would be a different story.
Muscle milk is not a good product IF your goal is weight loss. |

| | | Saturated fat is not bad. True, in excess it's bad, but you need to have some sat fat in your diet. |
