Question NROL + cardio = ?

I'm sure this question has been asked a dozen or so times by newbies like myself, but it's something I really need to know. I was wondering who has or is following "The New Rules of Lifting" plan and if you incorporate any cardio into your workouts (ie before, after, off lifting day). I want maximum weight loss while in the fat loss plan, and I'm just curious if 30-50 mins of cardio would be benficial. I'm sure there is no negative side to it. I guess I just really would like to know if anyone does this along with the plan. Sorry, I'm all over the place!

well not sure what your weight is and goals are. But I was pretty thing to begin with.

But I am in my second week of NROL Weight Loss 1 program, prior to that I did the "break in" program for the "enternal beginner" 4 weeks worth.

But following his program, seriously KICKS MY BUTT, but I am seeing great results as far as I am concern, since my diet is crap, If I get my diet in order I would be golden.

But to answer your question, I have not been doing cardio while doing this, because I coach my daughters soccer team and end up running around with them.

But according to the book, if you must do cardio try to do it right after your strength routine for about 30 min, then use the rest days.

I personally feel no need for the cardio at the moment.

Just don't over do it, if you are doing the NROL it should be kicking your butt.

doing 9 reps of 6 exercises is no easy task. just my opinion.

Well my first "break in" session totally killed my legs. I think that was the first time I had ever done squats in my life. Im crazy sore still. Isn't the break in program supposed to only be 2 weeks long??

NO, it is different as per your "classification" I am 5'8" 162LBS, and the "eternal beginner" foit me the best and that has a four week break in, which killed me because I was used to doing 3 weeks strength and 2 days cardio, now I was doing 2 days only with no cardio, and then a week off.....I was "missing" working out and was hungry to begin the weight loss 1....Now that is serious work out and it is really good, I enjoy it.

Re-read the area for the classification, not sure where you fit.

ANd squats is no easy task, but it is the best full body workout and I to was a first timer doing squats and listen to advice here, did light weigh to make sure I was doing it correctly and good form since I was new. I must say I ahve shown improvement and plan on posting pics when May first rolls around and again July 1st.

Best of luck!
