Olympic lifting/lifting in general is like a drug addiction!

I thought id just share my recent feelings.

Iv been cutting for the past, oh.....3 months maybe. Doing a lot of circuit training, a lot out of the Crossfit book. Previous to this(4 years of high school) i had been an athlete which i did almost all olympic stuff. Squats, bench, clean and jerk, power clean, power snatch(i consider the first 2 olympic)

Towards to end of my cut i almost lost all motivation. Like the circuit was just getting old and boring and i was loosing the drive. I saw results i just didnt feel like a weight lifter or an athlete. Yes, being able to do wide-grip pull ups was cool(never have before) yes being able to do 100 push ups was cool but it didnt get my blood and testosterone flowing. I tried telling someone else this and they looked at me like i was a freaking nut so u have to be a lifter to know what im feeling.

Last wednesday i began my bulk, or just my strength routine. I was excited to be doing fun lifts again to start. I went in the gym and set up they bar for my first set of power snatches. Literally i was shaking just thinking of doing them again and feeling that feeling that only these lifts give you. My first rep was amazing, literally as i moved the bar up above my head and caught it in great snatch form it felt amazing. I just said to my self, "you just moved weight above your head and caught it. Why did that feel so good, why was that so gratifying?"

I cant answer that, but i dont think i will ever cut again lol This is why we get up early and lift. This is why people look and stare and snicker under there breath. This is why were stringer than the average Joe. I think you all know the feeling im talking about, because i cant describe it with words. But once you feel it you will never put down the weights, ever.

    Cheers!, and goodnight

I'm not gonna lie I absouletely hate squats and have no motivation to do them at all. Thats why I suck at them.

    :/

    Bench Pressing is fun though

I wanna start powercleaning again when track ends. I miss that the most.
