I have been doing full body workouts for quite some time now and have been thinking about changing it up a bit. I have been reading a lot about Periodization. Two workouts inparticular, one set up by Hugo Rivera and the other by Alwyn Cosgrove.
I am still cutting and am at roughly 13% BF or so. I was wondering what some of you thought about this method of training and if you thought it may benifit me and possibly accelerate my results. I know diet is the key and I feel my diet is pretty spot on. I am adhering to a low carb intake on non-lifting days and upping the carbs on lifting days and am eating very clean.

well my thought is that anytime you switch up your routine your going to notice changes. are you able to lift every day? that is a step to consider...you may want to add in any cardio considerations so otheres can make more inforrmed suggestions on your training.
good luck!
btw...i think periodization is a great way to break through any walls and really trains your body in a new way.
If you still got a while to go then I'd say to go with a 5x5 program of your choosing. Bill star, or oly lifting, or even one of alwyn's strength training programs (if you do this hit me a PM, top secret info, hush hush.)
But what ever you do, make sure your doing no more than 6 reps and almost zero isolation work.
You can break out the 12reps of bicep curls when you start bulking again.

Well, as far as cardio, I have been doing some stationary bike and some jump rope. I was running quite a bit, but I developed a sore knee so I am taking a break from the running until the knee gets better.
I try to do all of my cardio in the AM for 45 minutes or so on an empty stomach. When I was running, I ran 4 days a week. With the bike and jumprope, I am down to 3 days a week.

Well my goal is to get down to 10% and enjoy being there for a while after years of being heavy and then move on to s slow bulk. With that being said, I am not sure if that would be considered a while to go or not..LOL I would definately be interested in hearing about the programs you have mentioned and will definately look into them.
Since I have been following Waterbury's full body workout, there are occassions in which my reps will go up to 12 for 2 sets. I am sure you are familiar with how his program is layed out.
