Protein shakes/foodstuffs

I was wondering if anyone out there's got any good ideas/recipies for protein shakes or foodstuffs that can be made from normal household ingredients (i.e. no protein powders or creatine etc....)

pretty hard to make a protein shake without protein powder. You can get away without powders and still get all your protein.
egg whites
1% milkfat cottage cheese
chicken breasts
turkey breast
lean red meats


protein powders end up being more economical, typically less than $1 per serving, versus about $2.50 for a 4 oz chicken breast.

i've heard of some doing raw eggs with milk powder in milk.
