| | | Literally speaking it is impossible. You can lose the fat, then build muscle or vice-versa, but you can't literally convert fat into muscle. You can't even do both at the same time to any high degree, although I believe it is possible to do so at a slow rate
The opposite is equally not true: If you're muscular and stop lifting it doesn't "turn into fat" although you will likely gain fat while your muscles deteriorate |

| | | Tell him fat can be turned into muscle the same day that your liver can be turned into your big toe. They are two different types of tissues, with different functions. |

| | | Someone on this forum told me that fat could be converted to non-essential amino acids. I don't know if that's correct, but if it is then that could end up as muscle. |

| | | I hate people that say that. They say "so now that you have all that muscle if u stop you'll be fat because it will turn into fat" I don't have patients when people that are clearly not educated in fitness say stuff to me at all haha |

Biological processes are easily capable to break down, rearrange and combine molecular structures, and the human body can probably do stuff at least as dramatic as that. The question is is this specific trick among those the human body knows? | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
