Pull/Push

I have a question if someone can answer it for me please. I have been told my many ppl to do Pull/Push exercise. I mean do pull one day and do push on another. I am not exactly sure which exercises are Pull and what are push. Can someone give like a list of exercise which i can do for Pulls and Pushes.

Thank You very Much for your help

pushing would be squats, presses, dips, calf raises, etc

pulling would be deadlifts, rows, chins, shrugs etc

tons more but just basic PUSH it from you, PULL it towards you. push/pull is my favorite split

in addition to what abear said... you also must look into what muscles the exercise works. there are 2 exercises i know don't fit exactly where they should. i include shrugs on my push day, because i do shoulders on my push day. and upright rows are difficult to work in because their primary muscle is the lateral deltoid, but it also uses the bicep(personally i put those on my push day)

just keepn you informd!

A general rule for "push/pull":

Pull is when your brining a weight towards your body
Push is when you are taking the weight away

MReik: I agree that upright rows touch on deltoids, even though they are a pulling exercise; because of that, i would recommend not performing them during a push/pull phase. This will avoid over-training the muscle group.
