| | | Pyramid Scheme questions. Hey I was reading this article http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459411 and after reading it I can see some big flaws in my current program. I want to implement a pyramid scheme but have a few questions. First off as I decrease the amount of reps is it a bad idea to increase weight? Second can I implement a pyramid scheme in all of my exercises like curls, shrugs, etc. Also after reading that article I have a few questions about Hypertrophy what is functional and structural hypertrphoy and whats the difference between the two? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

| | | Yes, when you do lower reps you are doing more weight.
You can do a pyramid, but it's more for compound lifts, imo.
I believe functional is in reference to laying a basis, more in reference to beginners with little muscle mass, laying a foundation for basic hypertrophy.
Structural, I believe, is in the name. As structural refers to 8-12, it is for size gains. |
