Quads

Why is it that my quads hurt so bad when I lift weights? No other muscle hurts like that when I'm excercising, just the quads... why is that? It's nothing new, they've always been like that as far back as I can remember, so I don't think it's an injury or anything.

HURT, definately hurt. The rest of my muscles burn, but my quads just hurt. Squats and lunges, even the isolation machines hurt on quads. They hurt near the lower part of the muscle, toward the knee, but it's definately not my knees themselves that are hurting. I always thought everyone was like this, isn't that why people complain about squats?

If I was, it shouldn't have hurt immediately when I started excercising again, after not excercising in years, right?
