| | | Question About Cardio&Protein Okay I work out here at home and I dont really have the cash for a Gym membership nor is there a good gym in my very small town to go to. Anyhow I use my bench here and curl bar what Iam wondering is how much Cardio do I need to do in a day? Iam gonna start lifting again 3 days a week. Iam also thinking of going with a protien shake a day to supplment my protien since everything else seems to have SOOOOO much cholesterol in it. Is there anything else I should take with the shakes?? The people at GNC told me I need to take some kind of vitamin to break down the protein. Do I HAVE to have this vitamin? |

| | | How much cardio you need is dependant on what your current body composition is and what your goals are.
I would also suggest that you get your protein from a natural food source if you can. Natural methods of getting nutritional requirements are much better for you than supplements. If you have already worked on your diet and still need more, then the shake can help. I haven't heard anything about needing a vitamin to improve protein absorbsion, but I also wouldn't add protein until I knew that all of my vitamin/mineral needs were being met as they will give you more gain than the protein will. |

| | | Actually, I've heard that having some carbs immediately after your workout will actually suck protein into the worked muscles kind of "jump starting" the healing process. A good source is a carb drink, like Gatorade or Poweraid. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
