Question A Question about Legs

I'm just wondering if someone could give me some advise on ways to slim my thighs. Any advise is helpful. What is the best form of exercise with the greatest results?

slim?

If you're looking to manipulate your legs with weight training, since that is the forum we're in, the only things you should expect is toning and, if combined with proper diet, size increase.

edit: and yes, i believe the only way to slim your legs would be to run a calorie deficit and do cardio and some weight training. If i recall correctly though your thighs aren't remotely fat, so that would mean you're really just going to lose muscle. Are you looking for muscle definition? (ohhh yes) or are you just looking for a smaller diameter of thigh?

If you want to slim your legs as in shedding the fat, you need to be in a calorie deficit. Your body will burn fat from all over, not just you tighs. You can't spot reduce.

From your pics, why do you want to slim your thighs?

Curious.

I'm starting modelling again and my biggest problem area is my thighs. I have a bit of fat on them at the moment and I don't know what my best option is....I don't want a calorie deficit diet because I don't want to loose weight all over my body (as I know you can't spot reduce) and I don't want to fall into an unhealthy weight range by dropping calories so I don't know whether I should aim to slim my thighs or tone them.

You could try to pack on some more muscle mass.

When you say "tone them" what exactly do you mean?

If you want to lose fat in your legs and only your legs you would need lipo. there is no exercise that you can do to lose fat in your legs or anywhere else the only thing you can do is lower your BF%. Do you know what your BF% is at right now? And if you want my personal opinion skinny bird legs on chicks aint sexy but thick juicy thighs are.

Instead of doing the regular anorexic modelling, why don't you go into fitness modelling and add a bit of muscle mass instead?

Female fitness models can make some pretty decent money.

You unlikely to lose and thigh size unless you dramatically reduce your caloric intake and lose muscle mass and bf%. As I told you in your other thread, you're probably going to make your thighs bigger in the end...and trust me, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with muscular thighs.

Like I also said in your other thread, you need to evaluate what you want and what you need to give up to get there. Slimming the thighs will lead to slimming everything else, but honestly you look great the way you are now. If I saw you on a beach i would have to wash my mouth out to remove the sand from my jaw hitting the ground.

As for toning/slimming in your case are the same thing. Toning is building slight amounts of muscle while reducing BF% and slimming would be reducing muscle and bf in your legs from a caloric deficit (which will translate to your whole body as well).

I agree with Karky that you should try and add on some muscle. I partly agree with ILM about the fitness modeling thing. I mean i agree with you that some of them look SO much better than normal models. But then again, there are the others.....jk. Is it safe to say your trying to get thicker legs(thigh/butt)??

My advise to you is to start doing lunges, one-leg squats(Maybe), box jumps.

Lunges are second only to squats is building your gluteus.
One-Leg Squats are really good but VERY hard to do. Maybe you could do them little by little or use a bench and start at like a 1/4 squat and work ur way up/
Box-jumps, well, they are good IMO to do at the end of your workout, they finish the legs off nicely

she wants smaller legs but doesn't want to lose any body fat in other regions. I agree with ILM. Consider going for a healthier look...you'd be surprised how more guys like a healthy body as opposed to a twig like body...just ask my gf...i've been trying to bulk her up for a while now. the bony look just ain't doing it for me these days.

I didnt think she wanted thicker Thighs/butt. But I agree with you, every woman should be doing the exercises you mentioned. They would improve any lady's glutes and legs. Also SLDL's and romanian deads are good. I do squats and sldls too. Not becuase I wated a big luscious a55 but because I wanted to be strong. But now my butt looks a lot better I must say.

GUys love it. Although when I'm really hard and muscular, they don't seem to appreciate it as much -- it's a little too much, if you know what I mean.

Bubbles, I'll do my best to post some pics this weekend to give you an idea of what a muscular girl looks like who isn't cut to shreds. It doesn't look that muscular at all because women have a higher bodyfat percentage than men, and that tends to soften our muscularity out quite nicely.
