Arrow Revamping my Workout

Hey all,

I've been reading around for a while now on these forums and been working out for a couple months. However, while I have made a tiny bit of progress, I havn't quite got the results I'm looking for, so I've decided to up my intensity.

I'm 5' 11.5", 141lbs, and I'm looking to gain mass and burn some fat off. I'm thinking of bulking first for 2 months and then cutting for 2 months. My diet is pretty normal, except I make an extra effort to get protein in each meal. Also, I have a whey protein shake after my workout.

For the bulking part, I'm not sure what the best routine would be. I've looked at the 3x a week fbw at t-nation (Testosterone Nation - Total-Body Training)
and i thought I'd follow that and just add some abs, forearm, and maybe neck exercises on the days inbetween. But some other friends have recommended splitting as more effective, so I came up with a rough idea of a routine. It'd be a 4 day cycle:

day 1 - bicep/back/leg
day 2 - tricep/chest/shoulder
day 3 - ab/forearm/neck
day 4 - rest

So pretty much, I'm asking for some recommendations on bulking.

Last thing... if I throw in some cardio a few times a week, will that help or would that be counterintuitive to bulking? I understand you can only gain muscle or burn fat, not both at once (unless you are just starting out?), so I have been hesitant on excessive cardio because I don't want it getting in the way of building muscle.
