I wouldn't even think of 1RM'ing on squats without a belt, seems kinda odd to me.

I agree. I think my leg strength is there to squat some more weight, but my core can't support it. I'm just too skinny there. So belts are a good idea.

ye but this is the problem, you using a belt is helping you compensate for your lack of core strength and thus is giving you an advantage in squatting that those who don't have/use a belt don't have. So if belts are going to be used I would suggest either 2 different tables or that on the table it is indicated if a belt was used.

I dont think a belt helps you actually lift more weight, it just helps prevent injury to the back etc. Therefore i dont think it matters if we wear belts when squatting, i just think youll have a greater chance to end up with injury if you are squatting 1rm without a belt.

Ill have to post my 1rm, i do 200lbs in sets of 8, so i think im gonna aim for the 300 mark to start with.

I did that for a few sets of 3 so I'll test my max again soon as it should be higher

I kinda got an idea, what about making another list with 20rep squats? the 10rm 10 last reps being singles kinda thing? 20 rep squats are hardcore, and those who have dared to try them should be honored in the squat chart.
I don't know how many people would be on the list though.. I'm just throwing out an idea.

Karky I will gladly put myself on the list for that is a good idea.

I agree that the 20 rep squat is hardcore and a good idea to have.
