Time between at home workouts

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum but enjoyed reading all the posts, they've helped me out alot.
Right now I'm finding it hard to get to the gym so I've been supplementing with some at home exercises, i.e. Push ups, ez curl bar, sit ups, dips, and various other things. My roomate has been telling me that I should leave my workouts to every other day, especially my push-ups, if not I'm undoing all the work I've done. I'm wondering if you can shed some light on this. I was under the impression that if I don't do push ups to exhaustion then I'm fine to do 60 or so every day, any thoughts?
Thanks

I would continue to progress on the pushups like any other lift. IE do 60, 65, 68 etc

I say do them every second day also.

I never looked over this alot but it looks like a killer bodyweight routine.

Recovery is subjective and determined by a host of factors; training experience, nutrition, sleep/rest, intensity of exercise, etc.

The more you break your muscles down, the longer you will need to recover. If you take an exercise to the point of muscular failure, expect to need between 2-4 days or more (depending upon the muscle (s) targeted) before you will be recovered to the point where you can effectively train that muscle again. If you train so that you are stopping short of muscular failure, you can hit the same muscle several times per week.It is all about how much recovery is needed.
